Bruce Gagnon is the founder and director of the Global Network Against Nuclear Power and Weapons in Space. On this subject he states: "Star Wars is back and it's worse that ever. The Bush Administration is pushing to make space into an arena of war and the frontier for future multi-planetary corporations. National Missile Defense is a misnomer. The U.S. proposal is a provacative, aggressive program aimed at weaponizing space and dominating the world below."

By informal consensus based on the public statements of our Producers, MBN is endorsing this campaign.  Defending the right of a non living entity to speak freely is akin to John Cleese in "The Life of Brian" when he says that The Peoples Popular Front of Judiah will defend the RIGHT of MEN to have BABIES.  It is rediculous and the Supreme Court has made a mockery of Justice & Democracy.

In light of the recent Supreme Court ruling that allows corporations unlimited contributions to political candidates, wouldn't it be nice if we had such transparency as to who gave what? It looks like Obama's got a little room on his right sleeve. You guys wanna pitch in and see if we can get on there?

download ~ Author and Hepatitis C survivor Lloyd Wright explains how the FDA is beginning to march down the fascist path of CODEX Alimentarius.  In October 2009 the FDA blocked the import of Lloyd's Natcell Products from Canada and forced him to "destroy" 4 of his websites in order to comply with their wishes... so he could get the products into the country.  He has been importing these products for about 10 years and they are not being made in the US.

This spring, the Free Gaza Movement is sending at least six boats to

Gaza to break Israel’s illegal blockade on 1.5 million Palestinians.

This blockade constitutes an act of collective punishment, a crime

prohibited under international humanitarian law. Gaza's man-made and

internationally perpetuated crisis is set to deepen as Egypt builds an

Iron wall 30 meters deep   on the southern Rafah border, closing off

the final route for Palestinians to get basic supplies.



The urgency of breaking the blockade grows by the day, as Palestinians

living in this prison are denied their most basic rights.


Emergency Appeal: Grassroots International has set up an “Earthquake Relief Fund for Haiti”

Yesterday Haiti suffered a massive earthquake, which registered a 7.3 on the Richter scale, just outside the capital city of Port-au-Prince. Initial reports are beginning to pour in on the devastation to both people and property. Grassroots International has set up an “Earthquake Relief Fund for Haiti” to support our partners and meet the urgent needs of the population

“We are in the process of reaching our partners on the ground,” said Grassroots International’s Executive Director Nikhil Aziz. “Clearly everyone is deeply affected, and the full extent of the loss may not be known for some time. As in the past, Grassroots and our network of supporters are poised to respond as quickly as we can to address the immediate and long-term needs of our partners.”
