Big Coal Gets the Boot

DOWNLOAD
17 people arrested in the Coal River Valley today.  They were there to protest the inevitable massacre of nearly 1,000 people living in harms way of billions of gallons of toxic coal slurry sludge.

They were charged with trespassing and 2 were charged with littering (they left a 60ft banner floating in the middle of the sludge.

The 7 people you will witness being arrested in this video are being held at least until TUESDAY.
Obviously the police are willingly accepting their role as Hired Guns for the Coal Companies.

These courageous volunteers have been unprecedentedly slapped with 2,000 dollar bail... for trespassing.

* "We All Live in the Coal Fields": West Virginians Step Up Protests as EPA OKs New Mountaintop Removal *

At least thirty people were arrested in West Virginia Saturday as protesters marked a new phase of Operation Appalachian Spring, a campaign to end mountaintop removal mining. 5 here and there & favored. How about Gore paying the bail, fines, and paying for promotion, seeing as he made so much himself profit wise from a scientist, made the movie, book etc, nobel. There are other large 'green corps' that could; or would dissent and protests be abit much for them to back and fund as well.

oh let's not forget a COUNTERSUIT.

It's not unbelievable the damage they are doing . Unfortunately no surprise. I remember wanting to hitchhike back to BC, to protest with against the loggers. I couldn't make it.
