U.S Supreme Court

the 'Corporations Aren't People' Video Contest

on Facebook @
Many of the groups on facebook are working together on the issue of the
recent SCOTUS decision that will allow for corporations to spend
unlimited amounts of money to effect the outcomes of campaigns. The 5
justices that supported it claim that corporations are people and that
money is speech, thus saying that corporations have the same rights to
free speech as breathing human beings do.

We have launched a
video contest (that we hope goes viral) in an effort to get the word
out to those that do not yet realize the important and dreadful
consequences this could have. We hope it will energize people to act
with others on efforts to solve this problem before the campaigns start
for the Nov. elections... I added that in there to put emphasis on the

I'm the People Contest

Submit Your "I'M THE PEOPLE" YouTube Video And Win!

We're having a contest to see to see who can submit the most creative YouTube video on the theme of "I'M THE PEOPLE", because apparently five members of the Supreme Court can't tell the difference between natural citizens and disembodied, fictitious business entities.

The top 10 winners will each get their choice of one of our progressive advocacy gifts, PLUS the grand prize winner by your votes will get a Dennis Kucinich pocket constitution, personally autographed by Dennis Kucinich himself!! Get your videos in so we can open up the voting function here. Additional prizes for videos with the most YouTube views on their own!

MBN Endorsing the Free Speech for People Campaign

By informal consensus based on the public statements of our Producers, MBN is endorsing this campaign.  Defending the right of a non living entity to speak freely is akin to John Cleese in "The Life of Brian" when he says that The Peoples Popular Front of Judiah will defend the RIGHT of MEN to have BABIES.  It is rediculous and the Supreme Court has made a mockery of Justice & Democracy.
