In Oakland, California an Israeli ship was blocked by
protesters for the first time in history. 700-1000 protesters blocked
three different gates at 5:30
A.M. keeping dockworkers from unloading the Israeli cargo.

ILWU
members refused to cross picketline - citing "health & safety"
provisions of their contract. Management demanded "instant
arbitration." The arbitrator took a look at the picketlines at each
gate to the SSA Terminal and ruled that ILWU members were justified in
refusing to cross.

All dockworkers were sent home with FULL
PAY.

Bay area residents take the streets to show their support for
Gaza and to protest Israel's piracy and illegal blockade. This protest
comes almost a week after Israeli pirates murdered 9 humanitarian
workers trying to deliver aid to Gaza.

San Francisco residents give a warm welcome to Janet Kobren and
Gene St. Onge who just got back from the Gaza flotilla that was
violently intercepted in international 80 (or so) miles waters off the
coast of the besieged Gaza Strip.

Hours after Israeli Navy Commandos raid humanitarian aid ships
and kill at least 9 people, supporters of justice for Palestine are
confronted by a few Zionists waving Israeli flags. A handful of
activists confront the Zionists waving their own Palestinian flags and
sharing words. Local media clammier around the Zionist for interviews
while a young woman attempts to confiscate an Israeli flag that
supporters announce is "covered in blood".

San Francisco demonstrates against Israeli Navy storming
humanitarian aid ships headed for the besieged Gaza Strip killing at
least 9 people. The ships were in international waters when they were
attacked. Cities around the world hold similar demonstrations denouncing
Israel's use of deadly force on practically unarmed civilians(sling
shots, marbles, and a few metal rods were found).

Demonstrators
march on the sidewalk and take the street at about 1:20 . I
had advocated to take the streets earlier when a Code Pink activist
got in my face and said "You got a problem?".

Demonstrators line both sides of the street and read the names of
the children killed in last year's Gaza massacre. Other protesters
shout "shame on you" as AIPAC supporters make their way through the
crowd.
