the 'Corporations Aren't People' Video Contest

on Facebook @
Many of the groups on facebook are working together on the issue of the
recent SCOTUS decision that will allow for corporations to spend
unlimited amounts of money to effect the outcomes of campaigns. The 5
justices that supported it claim that corporations are people and that
money is speech, thus saying that corporations have the same rights to
free speech as breathing human beings do.

We have launched a
video contest (that we hope goes viral) in an effort to get the word
out to those that do not yet realize the important and dreadful
consequences this could have. We hope it will energize people to act
with others on efforts to solve this problem before the campaigns start
for the Nov. elections... I added that in there to put emphasis on the

The Colorado Legal Eagles would like to remind the USFS that "this land is my land", not yours. National Forests are public lands, and the USFS are agents of the federal government charged with upholding the U.S. Constitution and protecting civil rights. Yet year after year, these federal agents conspire to deprive campers at the Rainbow Gathering of their Constitutional rights under color of law. The USFS is a rogue agency and out of control. These vicious attacks on the rights of all citizens must stop.

CHILDREN, DOGS AND CAMPERS ATTACKED ON EVE OF DAY OF PRAYER
USFS attempts to incite another riot

Bridger-Teton National Forest, Wyo (July 10, 2008) – Federal Law Enforcement Officers ("LEOs") of the United States Forest Service (USFS) committed multiple acts of violence against campers, their children and their dogs at the Annual Rainbow Gathering being held in the woods near Big Sandy, which unofficially ends today. The gatherers' entire purpose in assembling is to silently pray for world peace on the Fourth of July. The harassment included multiple tasering incidents, writing hundreds of tickets, searching many gatherer's vehicles, kicking sunbathers awake to search them for guns and poking into people's tents. The harassment culminated in an attack of 50-60 rounds of pepper ball bullets being shot both indiscriminately and specifically at campers in the Gathering's Kiddie Village (KV), a camp where children play gently and joyfully all day. This incident took place at dinner time while campers were praying before their meal.

The Rainbow Family of Living Light is a loose network of individuals who gather every year in the national forest to pray for peace, commune with nature, and visit with friends. Every year, the U.S. Forest Service (USFS) increases its attempts to disrupt and cause violence at the Rainbow Family's peaceful gatherings. This year's Gathering was no exception.

The saga of the NOmadjik Media Bus at the Republican National Convention played out among context that will sadden anyone who believes in freedom and democracy. The RNC in St. Paul was an exercise in intimidation, harassment and preemptive arrest of JOURNALISTS.

9/1 Protests at the RNC. The atmosphere in St. Paul is best described as a war zone. This video attempts to show some of why people are protesting. Reporters from the AP, NY Post, Indy Media Center, Pepper Spray Productions and 3 producers from Democracy Now have been arrested, including Amy Goodman.

This afternoon the bus was repeatedly harassed by St. Paul police. We were notified by our lawyers who were on the scene while we were attempting to cover the Poor People's March. Eyewitnesses reported that they attempted to open the door both by hand and CROW BAR. They attempted to film inside the bus and claimed they were concerned about "liquids". Our bus is legally parked in a paid lot with permission from the Parking lot. 2 private buses have been confiscated in St. Paul 1 bus carrying a marching band of activists have chosen to leave town. The police came by 3 times each time with more squad cars and equipment. At this time the bus, inhabitants and property are safe... and insecure. Much more about this later.
