POOR PEOPLES ECONOMIC HUMAN RIGHTS CAMPAIGN
Someone may want to go out and cover some leg of this historic event.
On April the 4, 2010, the POOR PEOPLES ECONOMIC HUMAN RIGHTS CAMPAIGN will start a march/caravan from New Orleans to the United States Social Forum in Detroit Michigan. Over the next couple of months they will participate in various events sponsored by many organization to spotlight the issues of poverty and oppression in the United States. My experiences with PPEHRC have always been very positive. They are a group with both racial and gender diversity, concentrating on fighting oppression and poverty all over the country.
Bruce Gagnon: Weaponizing Space
Bruce Gagnon is the founder and director of the Global Network Against Nuclear Power and Weapons in Space. On this subject he states: "Star Wars is back and it's worse that ever. The Bush Administration is pushing to make space into an arena of war and the frontier for future multi-planetary corporations. National Missile Defense is a misnomer. The U.S. proposal is a provacative, aggressive program aimed at weaponizing space and dominating the world below."

March on Washington to Demand the Right to Jobs for All
National Call for Sat April 10, 2010, The 75 Anniversary of the WPA
Joblessness is as bad today as it was during the 1930s –It’s time to take the fight to D.C.
On
April 8, 1935, Congress passed the legislation creating the largest
public works program in history. The Works Progress Administration
(WPA) created 8.5 million jobs during the depression of the 1930s.
Let’s
mark the 75th anniversary of the creation of the WPA by telling the
government that today’s jobless crisis is as bad today as it was back
then and that we need the same kind of bold, sweeping jobs program that
the people demanded in the 1930s – Now!
Martin Luther King Jr.
dedicated the final months of his life to starting a movement for the
right of all to a job or a guaranteed income – we need that movement
now more than ever.
It’s time to say no: to a jobless recovery -
to an economy based on permanent high unemployment and low wages - to
Berkeley Mario Savio Celebration
DOWNLOAD
An intervention during the depoliticized, sanitized commemoration of the 45th Anniversary of Mario Savio’s famous speech. "We will not permit the museumification of Berkeley’s radical past, especially now, as we enter into a new cycle of struggle. The Free Speech Movement is not a way to sell coffee, nor is it a rhetorical sop the administration can use to pacify the existing movement."

The Peoples March Against the Greedy 20
Download
This being the only permitted action in dissent of the G20 Summit in Pittsburgh; it is, of course, full of great speeches and fun signs.
I realized after the fact that the organizers of the March had agreed to lead the 10 thousand plus participants by the nose away from the convention center after the protest by claiming to have another locations for speeches however the only speaker of note at the 2nd location was Cindy Sheehan. I'm truely sorry Cindy but I did not film your wonderful speech because my mouth had food in it for the first time that day and I had not slept the night before. Cindy's speech was, of course, brilliant; but not worth leaving the downtown area to hear.
Haven't we learned anything from the Ukraine?
