When I asked the reason, he said it would provide useful data concerning the amount of water I use, but I was suspicious. He tried to allay my concern by saying it would be useful not only to the Water Department, but to me as well. I might conserve more water after learning how much I really use and thereby have the incentive to flush less. He also warned me that if I tampered with it, it would set off an alarm at the Department’s headquarters, and they would immediately come out to see what was wrong. So not to worry. It was for my own good.

On April 19^th, 2013, I interviewed Kathy Kelly—a co-coordinator of Voices for Creative Nonviolence, which is a campaign to end United States military and economic warfare. The website is VCNC dot org. Kathy has lived in Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Yemen and one of the roles she will play at the convergence is to relay those experiences and give a human voice to the lived reality of people over seas who deal with drone surveillance and are murdered by drone attacks on a daily basis. Kathy, and many others, will be attending “Resisting Drones, Global War and Empire" convergence, April 26 - 28 in Syracuse, NY. One of the objectives of the false flag Boston Marathon bombing terror attack, was to create fear, confusion, anger, and hatred, in the subconscious minds of the masses, the millions of people who absorb and accept the "New Normal", whenever the people in power implement a tactic or agenda (Problem).

Why the Police in Michael Premo’s Occupy Wall Street Trial Are Unlikely To Face Perjury Charges
Many of the readers who commented on last week’s story about Michael Premo, the Occupy Wall Street protester who beat his criminal charges last week thanks to video evidence, wanted to know: Would the police officer whose testimony was contradicted by the video face any consequences? Would he be charged with perjury?
The short answer is: Don’t hold your breath.

But that’s not to say that a closer look at Premo’s trial doesn’t reinforce the impression that the police testimony against him looks a lot like perjury.

In more alarming reports coming out of Tibet, another Tibetan, who is a close relative of a Tibetan self-immolator, set himself on fire today protesting China’s continued occupation of Tibet.

Tsezung Kyab, 27, torched himself in front of the main prayer hall of the Shitsang Monastery in Luchu region of eastern Tibet at around 1:30 pm (local time). He passed away at his protest site, the same place where his cousin Pema Dorjee, 23, passed away in his self-immolation protest on December 8, 2012.

At the time of filing this report, additional details on today’s protest are awaited.

This is the second self-immolation protest in Tibet in as many days. Yesterday, Phagmo Dhondup, a Tibetan in his 20’s set himself ablaze near the Jhakhyung Monastery in Palung region of eastern Tibet. His condition and whereabouts are not known. More…

Workers’ right of all kinds, and vital concessions wrung from the Bosses with workers’ blood over the last 150 years are being rescinded by legislatures kowtowing to business interests all over the country. It seems to Citizen Journalist, Dr. Woody Konopak, that those rescinding the advances should pay the same kind of price as those paid who won them in the first place.

On November 30th I report for six months in a federal prison in Yankton, S.D., as a result of protesting drones.

The appearance of war being made easy by drones is resulting in more war. In Afghanistan, Pakistan, Yemen, Somalia, and in places we don't know about, in places where we are not at war, we're sending these unmanned pilotless airplanes into foreign air space to hunt down people who've been accused of crimes only in the private court of the administration. They're hunted down and killed along with anybody who might be in the immediate vicinity.

Drones are creating new wars rather than scaling down old ones. Drone pilots in Afghanistan have been targeted and killed. Drone pilots in the United States suffer PTSD at higher rates than real pilots.

Drone victims are 98% innocent civilians according to the recent Stanford/NYU study. The other 2% are targeted victims of murder without charge, trial, due process, or in many cases even knowing the target's name.

Drones buzzing over houses traumatize children before they kill them. That those children are (in most cases) not American hardly diminishes the immorality.

Drones are rapidly being developed and deployed by other nations. Would you support the equal right of other nations to kill with drones in this country? And if not, why not? And how can that thinking not apply to U.S. policy as well?

In Portland, this means school budget cuts and closures, library cuts, crumbling infrastructure, increased student debt, foreclosures, a race to the bottom in labor standards, and a lack of power or voice for our communities in decis ion making.
