Samuels, Gordon & activists at Minneapolis Civilian Review Authority shutdown meeting

Public Safety chair Don Samuels has proposed merging the Minneapolis Civilian Review Authority into Minneapolis Police Department Internal Affairs. Without informing CRA members or the community beforehand, this was quickly introduced & process initiated to obliterate the CRA recently. This is the end of the community meeting at City Hall, August 21 2012, with remarks from activists who've worked many years on police brutality and state violence, followed by Green council member Cam Gordon's remarks and some interesting comments from Samuels in an interview about openness in government. Samuels doesn't believe in extending the time period of notification for new ordinances in the city and says that 'wisdom', not consensus, is basically the goal of policy-making.
