After shutting down the ports at 5am the morning of 12/12/2011 protesters came back again to shut down the 7PM shift at the ports. Because of police violence in San Diego, LA,, Seattle, New York and Houston occupy/decolonize Oakland decided to extend its blockade to the 3AM shift as well. Now that's what I call solidarity.
After meeting at the West Oakland BART station at 5am, occupy/decolonize Oakland protesters marched on the Port of Oakland at 6am and shut down the port.
Occupy Oakland reaches out to local community by holding rally in the East Oakland neighborhood near Fruitvale BART station.
Five days after OPD raided Oscar Grant Plaza Occupy Oakland marches and sets up a new camp a few blocks away from City Hall. (I uploaded another video a few days ago but I was unhappy with the editing so I decided to take a little bit more time and publish this video)

Occupy Oakland participant Pancho Ramos was arrested while meditating in Oscar Grant Plaza on the morning of 11-14-2011. As an "illegal human being in this part of the planet" Pancho faces deportation of Oakland police decide to give him up to Immigration authorities. We have a duty and an obligation to NOT let this happen. Please share widely.

The General Strike in Oakland had many marches throughout the day including this march against Capitalism, which to many means a march against the private ownership of property. Unfortunately some members of our community (as well as undercover police) felt that it was acceptable to assault our fellow comrades because they felt damage to property was much more of an important issue than solidarity and/or non-violence.
The mother of 19-year old Kenneth Harding who was murdered by San Francisco police in July after failing to provide a valid Muni fare interviewed by ABC news.
A few days after Oakland Police violently raided the Occupy Oakland camp using tear gas, stun grenades, rubber bullets, batons etc against unarmed protesters Occupy Oakland marches against police brutality in solidarity with New York, Denver, San Diego, Austin, Egypt, Greece, Chile, and every other city rising up against the corruption and police violence.
Oakland residents respond to an early morning raid by the Oakland Police Department ordered (or at least OK'd) by Mayor Quan resulting in over 100 arrests (according to The "legal team")
